Team News: BTK Arrow Rotax Pan American Report New Castle Motorsports Park
BTK Arrow stole the show in the Rotax Senior classes at the recent Rotax Pan American Championship race at New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle, Indiana. It was a great weekend for the team that padded Arrow’s lead in the EKN Constructor’s Championship standings.
Arrow Karts and BTK Engines took three of the top four podium spots on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Victor Pedrosa finished second, with teammates Eric Jones and Sam Beasley finishing on his tail in third and fourth. Beasley won the prefinal, but a technical hiccup forced him to start at the tail of the final. It was an amazing drive, but was a big disappointment for the Arrow driver, as it would most certainly have been a victory.
Beasley’s determination was definitely seen in Sunday’s final as Beasley grabbed the victory by 1.9 seconds over teammate and BTK Manager Eric Jones. Even more impressive was Beasley’s 4.3 second margin over the third place finisher. Pedrosa would have another great drive to gain the fourth spot and make it a BTK Arrow 1, 2, 4 finish.
Texas driver Robby Mott made his Arrow debut in the Rotax DD2 Masters class. And a successful one it was, as Mott took the victory in Saturday’s final and claimed the runner up spot on Sunday.
Masters drivers Scott Falcone and Ron Rossetti showed speed all weekend. Falcone finished with a third and fourth place finish, and Rossetti garnered a fourth and fifth place result.
